Get Picky Sketch reveal

This month we were so very lucky to be sponsored for our sketch challenge by PINK PAISLEE!!!
Not only did they offer our prize for the sketch, but they also threw in some gorgeous "Sweetness" packs for the dt to play with.  How's that for generosity!!!!

Anywhoo, here is our sketch for this month..

and my layout...

The past month has been a really difficult one for us, which culminated in Noah having pneumonia and having to be hospitalised for days.  I live by the idea that things always happen for a reason....I don't always love the things that happen...lol...but it always forces me to look that little bit deeper than I may ordinarily and find what my little life lesson for the moment might be.  I don't think you can go through your life "fully present" without taking the time to stop and think every once in a while.  That said, this layout journals some of those things I discovered about myself and some things I need to try and draw on a little more often.

Thanks so much for stopping by and your lovely comments too!
Take care xx

Guess what......

In light of the past month, it's nice to have a little happy news :)

Some time ago, I applied for a dt possie at a new Australian scrapbooking magazine called
"Australian Scrapbook Ideas"
and I am soooo very proud to say that I've actually be chosen...YAY!!!!!  hehe..

The magazine is very new in it's publication and is up to issue number 5.  It's a fantastic mag .....filled with heaps of how to's and great instructions on a variety of layouts, projects and current techniques.  I have written my very first ever...full feature article....can you believe that!!!!

It's a little hard to see but that's my btp project on the front cover :)
I created a shabby mannequin and a little mini album.
Here are some pics I took of the mannequin before I sent it in...

I don't think they do justice, cos' she really is a little bit pretty..lol..
So there you have it...I'm actually writing and designing for a magazine.. unbelievable huh?

Precocious Paper Feb Sampler

Here are my some of the projects I created for Tessa over at Precocious Paper using her stunning flowers and embellishments from the Feb Sampler Pack.....soooooo love when I get 'Tessa mail' ...hehe...

Here is my first layout...
I used some of my pics of Belle in the garden.....these are some of me all time favourite images of her..and of course the fact that she's in pink doesn't hurt.  I also loved the bright colors in these Bo Bunny papers too!
See the pretty flower in the middle with the love hearts???  It's a glittery one.....mmmmm...love glitter :)  and there are the felt and satin flowers either side....cute huh?

This was my second layout using the pale pink flowers in the pack.....which I teamed up with some brown Satin flowers to match my papers.

Again, the large pink flower in the middle is all glittery...this is one of my favourites atm....I've actually re-ordered some for myself...hehehe...
There are still more gorgeous blooms left in my pack :)  I've also created a Valentine's day card and still have some gorgeous lime green flowers ready to use in another project....but you'll just have to wait for that one...  Thanks so much for stopping by xxx
